The 30th Anniversary of the Serbian Academic Club was celebrated on February 10, 2001 at the Marriott Hotel O'Hare in Chicago. The celebration was attended by 250 guests and friends of the SAC. The Guest of Honor was Fr. Irinej Dobrijevic.

The evening was dedicated to the SAC Founders:
Sveto Bilbija, Vlado Brodic, Branko Karadzic, Dusan Kovacic, Dr. Petar Milenkovic, Prof. Nikola Sorak, Dr. Dusan Stankovic, and Rade Vukadinovic, all of whom co-signed the original Invitation Letter on January 24, 1971, and to Slobodan Bozovic, Miomir Cvetkovic, Mihajlo Djordjevic, Ljiljina Gacic, Zoran Knezev, Boris Kovacevic, Dr. Rade Matovic, Branko Obradovic, Milan Radovic, and Sava Rakocevic, all of whom took significant part in SAC formation.

Plaques to all SAC Founders were awarded by SAC President Milica Popovic and by Dr. Borko Jovanovic.
